Module 1 Discussion

For this week's discussion, focus on the three children- Jem, Scout, and Dil. Why do you like or dislike them? Who is your favorite and why? Who do you think is the best or most well-behaved child? And what do you think will happen to them in the story? Don't forget to use quotes from the book to support you answers. 

Introductions!

Greetings! My name is Ms. Black and I'll be teaching my favorite book for this semester's literature elective- To Kill a Mockingbird. My whole family loves this book, and my sister was almost named after the main character! I'm so excited to get started.

This is the blog sections, where we can hold discussion about the book. It brings up a lot of thoughts and opinions, and here we can speak to each other about how the book made think and feel.

To start, please make a post and introduce yourself. Tell me you name, age, what class you're in, and where you live right now. Also, describe where you are right now. Are you in the library or writing lab? In a cafe? At home on the couch?

Finally tell me what you already know about this book, and about racism in America. Don't worry if it's not much. Use at least 120 words!
